Getting to Tamagotchi® Town and Tama & Earth Expo is easy! Go to www.tamatown.com. Using your V3, V4, or V4.5 toy, you can visit Tamagotchi® Town. Click on the link to open a new window allowing you to travel to Tamagotchi® Town. You will then be prompted to enter your Tamagotchi® Connection® toy USER NAME. Please make sure to enter your USER NAME exactly as it appears in your toy and not the name of the character.
For V5 users, you can visit the Tama & Earth Expo; click on the link to open a new window to connect to your destination. You will then be prompted to enter your V5 Tamagotchi® Connection® toy LOG IN number. Please make sure to enter the 10 digit pass-code correctly to enter.
If you are not able to view Tamagotchi® Town or Tama & Earth Expo, your internet browser software may be preventing you from doing so. Please make sure to change the security setting of your software to always allow "pop-ups" from each website to fully enjoy the web page. No, Tamatown.com does not use "cookies" and Bandai America, Inc., the maker of Tamagotchi® Connection®, does not collect any information from your personal computer while you are visiting the website.
The new Tama Earth & Expo will allow you to travel internationally to different cultural regions on Tamagotchi® Planet. In each area there are brand new games and cool surveys to take. After your trip to Tama & Earth Expo, you will then be given a 10-digit alpha-numeric LOGOUT number that you can enter in your V5 toy. After entering this number, your Gotchi points balance will be updated in your V5 toy.
With the new V4 website, you will now be able to see your character on-screen. And, for the first time, you'll also be able to earn Gotchi points in Tamagotchi® Town. You will be able to earn or shop for up to 10 items at once in your "shopping cart". After your trip to Tamagotchi® Town, you will then be given a 14-digit alpha-numeric LOGOUT number that you can enter in your V4 toy. After entering this number, your Gotchi points balance will be updated in your V4 toy.
After updating your V4 toy with Gotchi points, a list of the 10-digit passwords that are associated with the items in your shopping cart will appear on-screen. You can enter them in the "Password" section of the "Games/Activity" menu of your V4 toy.
No, unfortunately with all the special features of V5, Tama & Earth Expo is only compatible with the Tamagotchi® Connection® V5. But, you can still use the previous versions of Tamagotchi® Connection® toys to visit Tamagotchi® Town.
The maximum amount of Gotchi-prizes or items you can collect during your visit to Tamagotchi® Town and the Tama Earth & Expo is 10. If you would like to buy or collect more than 10 items, you will need to LOGOUT of Tamagotchi® Town and LOG IN again with a different 14-digit password.
Tamagotchi® Town is filled with passwords. These passwords allow you to obtain and store Gotchi-prizes in your toy. However, passwords are unique to each Tamagotchi® character and cannot be shared among virtual pet owners. To make sure you always obtain a working password, enter exactly the same five character USER NAME (including any spaces or punctuation) at Tamagotchi® Town that you created in your toy when you first hatched it.
You can view your Tamagotchi® Connection® USER NAME in the "Health Meter" menu along with all the other virtual pet stats. Press button (A) to select the "Health Meter" and press button (B) six times to locate the USER NAME.
Unfortunately, because passwords are unique to each character and virtual pet owner, Bandai America is not able to provide alternate passwords. And, passwords come and go quickly! Therefore, to make sure you don't lose the opportunity to earn another Gotchi-prize, make sure you always write them down!
For V5 Toys: Your 10-digit LOGOUT password is used to update your Tamagotchi® toy with the Gotchi points and Gotchi-prizes that you earned while online. If you are not able to enter the LOGOUT number in your toy after your visit online, then your toy will be not be updated with this information. You will need to get a new LOGIN number and visit the website again to earn more prizes and points again.
For V4 & V4.5 Toys: Your 14-digit LOGOUT password is used to update your Tamagotchi® toy with the Gotchi points and Gotchi-prizes that you earned while online. If you are not able to enter the LOGOUT number in your toy after your visit online, then your toy will be not be updated with this information. You will need to get a new LOGIN number and visit the website again to earn more prizes and points again.
To prevent this from happening again, make sure to not press any buttons on your toy during your visit to Tamagotchi® Town or Tama & Earth Expo and enter your LOGOUT number as soon as it appears on-screen!
The most recent Tamagotchi® Connection® toys (V4/V4.5 & V5) all require a LOGIN password to enter the website. Therefore, you must have the correct version of the Tamagotchi® Connection® toy to visit either the V4 or V5 dedicated areas of the site. However, if you don't own a V4/V4.5 or V5 toy, you can still enjoy many of the online games and fun activities that are available at the V3 website. To play these games, simply click on the "V3" button to enter Tamagotchi® Town. But remember; only the Version 3 Tamagotchi® Connection® toy allows you to fully experience all these activities and to then store Gotchi-prizes in your Version 3 toy. You will also need a V3 toy to travel around the world or to visit the Tamagotchi® King, the parents and grandparents.
Gotchi-prizes are the "souvenirs" you can receive while visiting Tamagotchi® Town! After playing games online, Gotchi-prizes can then be stored in your Tamagotchi® toy in the Souvenir list. These souvenirs are unique and should not be confused with "items". Items are the goods sold by the Shopkeeper in your toy and can be used by your Tamagotchi® characters.
To view your Gotchi-prizes, go the "Souvenir List" in the "Games/Activity" menu of your Tamagotchi® Connection® toy. Gotchi-prizes are stored numerically instead of in the order in which you received them; use button (A) to scroll through the list of souvenirs.
Travel tickets are randomly sold by the Shopkeeper in your Tamagotchi® toy. Check back often to view the items he has available for sale. Once you've purchased a travel ticket, take your password online in Tamagotchi® Town to the Travel Agency to redeem your souvenir! Make sure to select the correct version of your Tamagotchi® toy when logging into www.tamatown.com to earn your souvenir!
Just as in previous Versions of Tamagotchi® Connection®, some Tamagotchis® must be fully grown to enjoy all the items available for sale by the Shopkeeper, including travel.
With the new V4 toy, your Tamagotchi® character must be at the appropriate age to visit either the school or the kindergarten in Tamagotchi® Town. If your character is not at the right age to attend these schools, you will be invited to return again under the right age circumstances. Please see your toy instructions for details..
His Excellency, the Tamagotchi® King, allows only those who are pure of heart to enter his chambers in Tamagotchi® Town. Therefore, you will need to make a donation to his national charity. However, you must also prove your continued dedication as a charity patron. You must make at least three individual donations, totaling a minimum of 5000 "Gotchi" points to receive a password to visit him. Continue to make donations often to earn more visits with him!

If your Tamagotchi® is currently in the 2nd Generation or higher, you can view and meet your "parents"---the previous characters in your toy---online in Tamagotchi® Town. After obtaining a password from your Tamagotchi® toy, go to the "Parents" home at Tamatown.com and enter it there for up to three different visits.
The "History" menu, located in the "Family" section of your Tamagotchi® Connection® toy is a feature in the V4 and V4.5 toys that allows you to view the previous Tamagotchis® that unfortunately didn't survive under your previous care. This memorial will help you to remember those characters that have returned to Tamagotchi® Planet. Therefore, if you have been an excellent caregiver to your Tamagotchis®, then you should not have any characters to view here.
You can collect "Gotchi" points by playing games on your Tamagotchi® Connection® toy. Play more games to earn more points. Then, use your "Gotchi" points to buy items online in the Mall or from the Shopkeeper in your Tamagotchi® Connection® toy.
In Tamagotchi® Town, you can purchase items for sale in the Mall. Roll over an item to see how many "Gotchi" points an item requires. Then, click on the item you wish to purchase. Your item will be stored in your "shopping list". Then, when you are ready to LOGOUT of Tamagotchi® Town, your shopping list will appear on-screen with the passwords necessary to purchase your items. Take the passwords back to your V4 toy and the "Gotchi" points will be automatically deducted from your personal bank.
When you leave Tama & Earth Expo, make sure to enter the 10-digit LOG OUT password and the number of points you've earned while playing online will appear in your Tamagotchi® Connection® toy.
Yes, you can still connect to other Tamagotchi® Connection® users! If you are connecting to the owner of a previous version, make sure to choose "Others" in the IR Menu. Owners of a V1, V2 or V3 toy should choose "Version 1" to connect with a V4 toy owner.
Unfortunately, because of the NEW, special features of V5 it is only compatible with other V5 toys. You can do this by selecting V5 in the IR Menu and by choosing either to play a game or marry.
When entering Tama & Earth Expo, you can turn off the music by clicking the music notes on the bottom left corner of the screen. If you want to turn the music back on, you can click on the music notes again to hear it
